Have you heard about the Facebook get rich Quick Scams? see http://www.smh.com.au/news/technology/web/facebook-get-rich-quick-scam-busted/2009/02/23/1235237528889.html

Facebook had a problem recently with Get Rich Quick Scams using their advertising network to get unsuspecting users credit card details.

How do you think Facebook has done in its attempts to actually make money from its service. Keeping in mind that so far it hasn't made a profit.

There was some controversy recently about them starting to charge for using it or soemthing. So it seems they fully intend on making money from it, lol!

Not to mention the huge controversy recently over Facebook's proposed new terms and conditions, that basically said anything and i mean anything, any pictures, text, videos etc that you post on facebook would become the property of facebook and they could use it for whatever they wanted.

Seems a little bit of an invasion of privacy surely........

They probably only did it because they saw Sony do it with the PlayStation 3 Network. They're allowed to do anything with anything that's uploaded to them. Stupid.

If google and facebook ever combined their information about us all, I think they would be able to create a huge scandal and great opportunity to businesses to do market research
